Senior Project Manager

Location:
Hybrid (Remote & Johannesburg / Cape Town / Stellenbosch) OR Remote

We are currently looking for a Senior Project Manager for a well established IT MSP company.

The senior project manager is the individual responsible for leading and delivering a portfolio of projects on a day-to-day basis.

The individual leads and manages each projects' stakeholder team, with authority and responsibility from the client.

The senior project manager has an important role in interfacing between the project and the business area.

This is important for communicating and encouraging the need for transformation and change within the business area in tandem with the delivery of new capabilities from the project.

The readiness of the business to exploit the new capability is crucial to success.


Responsibilities:


  • Portfolio Management:
  • Effectively manage a portfolio of projects.
  • Ensure alignment of appropriate solution architecture with business strategy.
  • Demonstrate the ability to align the IT Projects being executed to Business Requirements throughout the programs and projects lifecycle.
  • Report on all Projects progress to Business Stakeholders.
  • Project Management:

Requirements:


  • 5 to 10 years proven track record experience in project management of ICT projects and programmes
  • Experienced at coordinating and managing all aspects of a portfolio of medium to large, complex, projects and programmes simultaneously
  • Grade 12 Certificate
  • PRINCE2 Practitioner or PMI PMP project management certification
  • ICTrelated qualification or certification (or equivalent work experience)
  • ICT Technical background experience essential
  • ITIL Exposure and understanding
  • Agile Project Management beneficial
  • Microsoft 365 Fundamentals beneficial
  • Microsoft Azure Fundamentals beneficial
  • Experience in leading a team of Project Managers
  • Deep understanding and experience of IT Project Management methodologies.
  • Presentation & Facilitation skills
  • Analytical and Problem Solving
  • Conflict Handling/Management
  • Ability to work in a pressurised environment
  • Manage large implementation projects and key project leadership
  • Capable of facilitating with teams i.e. design sessions, conflict resolutions, brainstorming etc.
  • Microsoft 365 and Azure basic knowledge and experience
  • Celoxis PPM tool experience
  • Autotask tool experience
