    Responsibilities

    1. Install and configure computer hardware, cabling, software, systems, networks, printers, and scanners.
    2. Monitor and maintain computer systems and networks to ensure optimal performance.
    3. Respond promptly to service issues and requests from users.
    4. Repair and replace equipment as needed to minimize downtime.
    5. Test new technology to identify potential issues and implement solutions.
    6. Deploy new software and upgrade existing software according to the organization's needs.
    7. Provide technical support to factory and warehouse staff regarding all IT-related matters.
    8. Ensure that service tickets are dealt with and closed in accordance with standard operating procedures.
    9. Set up applications, email, and equipment for users.
    10. Replace computer/IT equipment according to its life cycle.
    11. Train users as needed to enhance their technical skills.
    12. Perform scheduled maintenance tasks to prevent system failures.
    13. Develop basic programming skills to automate tasks and improve efficiency.
    14. Conduct minor repairs on equipment to minimize downtime.
    15. Obtain quotations for IT equipment and raise purchase orders for approval.
    16. Maintain the asset register to track IT assets.
    17. Adhere to the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPI), IT policies, and procedures.
    18. Liaise with service providers as required to resolve technical issues.
    19. Carry out duties delegated by the Senior IT Administrator.
    20. Assist the Senior IT Administrator with implementing projects.
