    About the Role

    We are seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join our Mine Waste team in Midrand, South Africa. The successful candidate will provide Geotechnical Engineering services across various sectors, including mining, infrastructure, and property.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Project management of geological and geotechnical projects, including site investigations, buildings, and infrastructure projects.
    • Interpret geological and geotechnical data, perform analysis, and draw conclusions/recommendations.
    • Prepare technical deliverables, such as proposals, tenders, reports, and presentations.
    • Manage field observations, carry out geological and geotechnical reporting, and supervise junior staff.
    • Characterise ground conditions and materials, and identify safety hazards.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
    • Post-graduate studies in Geotechnical Engineering preferred.
    • At least 8 years' experience in Geotechnical Investigations.
    • Professional registration with ECSA or similar.
    • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Strong written, diagrammatic, and oral communication skills.
