    Job Description:
    The company is seeking a qualified and experienced professional to head up and lead the finance team. The incumbent will report on a group level. The finance team is not big on titles, formalities or big egos. The team is diverse, innovative and technologically driven.

    Qualifications and Experience:
    • CA(SA) (Non-Negotiable)
    • 3-5 years people management experience
    • Minimum 5 years post articles experience
    • Accpac Experience (preferred)
    • Experience with ERP Systems

    Duties and Responsibilities:
    • Primarily responsible for the efficient leading of the finance team and oversee all elements essential to the preparation of monthly management accounts and annual financial statements.
    • Ensure statutory compliance, governance and risk monitoring.
    • Offer support in the preparation of financial results that will be presented at a group holding company level.
    • Assist the Group FD/CFO with the budgeting process and implementation.
    • Monitor, prepare, report on and analysis of actual performance to the monthly and annual budget and forecasts.
    • Provide support to the Group FD/CFO in the preparation for the annual audit and liaise with external auditors.
    • Preparation and submission of all statutory returns including VAT, PAYE, Income Tax etc.
    • Preparation of Monthly Consolidated Management Accounts.
    • Preparation of Annual Financial Statements.
    • Liaise with company secretary as required (including CIPC updates and annual returns).
    • Assist with finance and governance related queries.
    • Establish and maintain financial policies and procedures and identify areas for potential improvement.
    • Lead and motivate the finance team - Monitor team deliverables, ensure development and retention of staff.
    • Participation in various special and strategic company projects.
    • General management and administration.
    • Establish accounting policies and procedures.
    • Ensure compliance (accounting and statutory) of all subsidiaries.
    • Provide commercial and financial guidance and support to other areas of the group.
    • Manage BBBEE compliance and audits.
    • Strengthen processes and automation of processes.
    • Authorize and release bank payments.
    • Assistance with ad hoc financial projects.
