    We are seeking a Logistics Business Development Manager to join our team at Helderberg Personnel cc. In this role, you will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with new and existing clients, including regular visits to understand their needs and negotiate new contracts. You will also be responsible for negotiating transport rates with clients and transporters, while managing volumes allocated to the company.

    To succeed in this role, you must have a deep understanding of the road transport industry, including knowledge of commodity trends and market fluctuations. You will need to analyze these trends to adapt our logistics strategy and ensure timely delivery of goods. Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining established admin procedures, developing relationships with current transport, clients, and truck drivers, and following up with transporters to determine accurate ETA's and trucks.

    Key Responsibilities:
    • Negotiate sales deals and rates with customers as well as suppliers.
    • Meet budget and margin targets while proactively communicating with suppliers to transport goods effectively and efficiently to customers.
    • Build and maintain relationships with new and existing clients.
    • Negotiate transport rates with clients and transporters.
    • Manage volumes allocated to the company.
    • Analyze commodity trends and adapt to market fluctuations.
    • Maintain established admin procedures.
    • Develop relationship with current transport, clients, and truck drivers.
    • FOLLOW UP with transporters to determine accurate ETA's and trucks.
