The Role:Maintenance Technician*****
PURPOSE OF THE POSITION


The Maintenance Technician is responsible to execute planned maintenance and to address breakdowns or repairs as it may pertain to production equipment, workshop equipment and general maintenance of the building and plant as required or directed by the maintenance manager.


RESPONSIBILITIES

Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Perform preventative and planned maintenance for the facility's equipment.
  • Address breakdowns or repairs on production and workshop equipment.
  • Contribute to the evaluation of systems and facilities with the purpose of improving or establishing appropriate maintenance practices.
  • Ensure that maintenance and repair work is correctly done in a timely manner.
  • Assists with departmental budget estimates and costs of specific repair projects.
  • General maintenance of the facility

Required Skills/Abilities:


  • Extensive knowledge of building systems such as plumbing, electrical, and HVAC.
  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to identify issues and execute the required corrective actions.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite of software.
  • Ability to read basic electrical and mechanical diagrams.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Must have high level technical competence and be resultsdriven.
  • Must have general knowledge of the operation and maintenance of a facility.
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in a preventative maintenance environment.
  • Fluent in English both spoken and written.
