    As an Account Director at MSL, you have overall responsibility for managing a portfolio of clients, leading teams to deliver on PR requirements and act as a trusted advisor for clients.

    Core Responsibilities

    • Demonstrate real-time knowledge of client activities and ensure smooth account management
    • Effectively delegate tasks to team members while maintaining quality of work
    • Manage projects from start to finish and oversee team implementation
    • Develop strategic client proposals and work on bespoke plans
    • Write high-quality content and oversee media relations process
    • Participate in news meetings and maintain media lists

    Client Services

    • Build and maintain client relationships, manage their expectations and drive strategic direction
    • Lead client meetings, understand client businesses, and provide value through competitor insights
    • Plan and lead client review meetings with team

    Agency Operations

    • Review billing arrangements and track profitability
    • Ensure timely completion of timesheets, coverage tracking, and reporting
    • Live by company values and contribute to agency and group knowledge

    Business Development

    • Identify new business opportunities and focus on client solutions
    • Contribute to proposals and presentations for business growth

    People Development

    • Assist with staffing decisions, act as a mentor for junior staff, and drive personal development activities
    • Conduct appraisals and maintain positive working relationships

    Qualifications

    • Tertiary qualification required
    • Minimum 2-3 years as Senior Account Manager and 1-2 years as Account Director
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office, excellent communication skills, and detail-oriented
    • Team player with good time management

    Personal Attributes

    • Consistently deliver quality work, attention to detail, and proactive upskilling
    • Use internal training tools for self-improvement and manage time effectively
