    Key Requirements:

    • 3 years of experience as a Legal Secretary.
    • A relevant 3-year legal qualification.
    • Ability to work independently.
    • Must be fluent in English and isiXhosa.
    • Strong typing skills (70-90 words per minute with accuracy and speed).
    • Knowledge of MS Word, Ms Office, and other legal technology software.
    • 3+ years of previous working experience in a legal environment.
    • Proficiency in English and legal terminology, including court rules (High Court and Magistrate Court).
    • Ability to type from a Dictaphone and similar devices.
    • Ability to develop legal documents for various courts (High Court, Magistrate Court, Labour Court, and CCMA).
    • Must be a team player with strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
    • Display outstanding time management and multitasking abilities.
    • Knowledge of litigation management and software systems.

    Performance Areas:

    • Ability to type professional documents.
    • Ability to receive and execute instructions from professional staff.
    • Must be able to travel to and report at other company branches when required.
    • Answering phone calls and attending to reception matters.
    • Scheduling client appointments.
    • Receiving briefs.
    • Organizing and maintaining all legal documents kept on site.
    • Responsible for administrative functions and maintaining office operations.
    • Assisting during consultations (as and when requested).
