Job Title: Care Worker

Summary:

Care Workers at NRC Krugersdorp will be responsible for ensuring the safe and optimal operation of the dialysis service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Clean dialysis machines before each patient's dialysis session, following policies, procedures, and NRC standards.
• Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance inspections on the unit generator, logging technical issues and refuelling as needed.
• Adhere to financial policies and procedures in the unit, particularly regarding stock and waste management.
• Provide excellent customer service and patient care by ordering and serving meals according to dietary requirements and NRC policies.
• Maintain a safe work environment and adhere to infection control and occupational health and safety standards.
• Stay updated on healthcare worker functions in the unit and continuously educate yourself.

Requirements:

• Grade 12 level of numeracy and literacy
• Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar role is preferred
• Experience in renal care is advantageous
• Strong interpersonal skills and customer orientation required
• Ability to work under pressure in a constantly changing environment
• Team player with strong organisational skills
• Excellence orientation and ethical behaviour expected
