The Data Capturer will work with facilities and will ensure that key data quality dimensions such as validity, reliability, integrity, precision, timeliness, accuracy, worth, completeness, confidentiality and ethics are met for all data collected at facility and community levels.

This position will contribute to the development and maintenance of the high standard of data collected and reported and assists with conducting routine data quality assessment (RDQA) or data quality audit.


Technical Work Responsibilities

  • Strengthening and capacity building on existing national health information systems (EDR Web, TIER. Net, DHIS, HPRS and others) to enhance data visibility and programme improvement.
  • Conduct Onsite Data Verifications (OSDV)
  • Assistance on Filing System
  • Technical support and assistance on clearing of Data Capturing Backlogs.
  • Review of data extracts and providing feedback.
  • Support data capturing related activities at beyond zero as the need arises.
  • Participate in quality improvement projects.
  • Participate in district and subdistrict MERL meetings, workshops, and discussions to provide ongoing technical support.
  • Any other duties determined necessary.

Minimum Requirements
Education

  • Grade 1
  • Post matric diploma or degree(advantageous)
Advantageous

  • Previous exposure in HIV/AIDS and TB prevention programmes.
  • Data capturing in electronic data bases that are Health related.
Experience

  • Twoyears experience in data capturing
  • Data management and verification.

Requirements:


  • Fully computer literate (proficient working knowledge in MS Office and databases.)
  • Ability to work quickly and accurately.
  • High attention to details.
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong team player with exceptional people skills, broadminded and able to manage a verified and multicultural environment.
