Description

We are seeking a meticulous Quality Controller with a valid wireman's license and experience in the electrical manufacturing industry. You will play a crucial role in ensuring our switchboards meet the highest quality standards and exceed customer expectations.


Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement comprehensive quality control procedures and checklists.
• Conduct thorough inspections of raw materials, inprocess components, and finished switchboards.
• Verify electrical wiring, grounding, and component installation according to design specifications and relevant safety codes.
• Test switchboards for functionality, safety, and compliance.
• Document inspection results, identify defects, and work with production to implement corrective measures.
• Collaborate with engineers and technicians to improve quality processes.
• Analyze quality data, identify trends, and recommend preventive measures.

Qualifications:

• Valid wireman's license.
• Minimum of 23 years of experience as a Quality Controller or similar role in an electrical or manufacturing environment.
• Sound knowledge of switchboard components, assembly, and functionality.
• Indepth understanding of electrical safety codes and regulations.
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and precision.
• Excellent problemsolving and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong knowledge of electrical codes and safety standards (SANS would be ideal).
• Proven ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• High attention to detail and exceptional problemsolving skills.
• Team player with effective communication skills.

Experience:

• Quality Control in an electrical engineering role: 2 years (preferred)
