Description
Main Purpose of the Position:
Implements the company's policies and procedures regarding occupational health and safety.
May be responsible for monitoring the impact of the Site on the environment and ensuring that the company remains within applicable legal boundaries regarding environmental procedures.
Education:
Experience:
- At least 5 yrs safety experience in a construction environment (working for a principle contractor).
Computer Software:
- MS Office (Advanced)
Key Performance Areas:
- Ensuring legal compliance at all times.
- Ensuring regulations are in place.
- Effectively administrating the SHE systems.
- Ensuring plan and file are up to date.
- Ensuring site inspections take place when necessary.
- Completing the project site audits on time.
- Inducting new employees.
- Effectively carrying out the job observation and risk assessment.
Legal Requirements:
- SAMTRAC or similar qualification (Diploma)
- SACPCMP (SA Council for Project Management Professionals) Registration
