Our client a leading retail and wholesale hardware store in South Africa, is looking to employ a store manager for their Butterworth branch soonest.

CANDIDATE MUST HAVE
HARDWARE RETAIL MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE


Store Manager Job Description:


  • Daily attendance, leave schedules, performance reports, etc
  • Oversee the daily operations of the store, make sure it runs smoothly and effectively, and Ensure all staff are accountable and or disciplined
  • Manage Store employees and Yard employees, including delegation of duties
  • Manage Company Expenses
  • Manage sales, promotions, canvasing, and open days
  • Stock control: Maintain stock levels of moving items and returns of nonmoving items
  • Assist, encourage, and enforce sales targets to be met every month
  • Ensure customer service is met by all staff and Resolve Customer queries
  • Ensure all safe drops are done
  • Cleanliness of the store
  • Prices are displayed correctly on stock and are correct on the system
  • Ensure cashups are done
  • Ensure vehicles logs and registers are done
  • Ensure staff safety and welfare is being adhered
  • Ensure attendance is being adhered
  • Ensure all staff are trained
  • Ensure customer deliveries are being adhered to efficiently
  • Ensure documents are sent to head office timeously
  • Motivate and encourage all staff
  • Duties and responsibilities are not limited to the above. You will be required to carry out adhoc instructions from time to time as instructed by Senior Management

Requirements:


  • Matric
  • Must have retail store management experience,
    specifically Hardware Retail:
  • Management certificate / Diploma will be advantageous
  • Computer literate
  • Problemsolving skills
