Description

Our client is seeking an Operations Manager to join their team in Tanzania. You will oversee the day-to-day operations of our client's company. You will ensure that projects are executed efficiently and effectively, achieving the set goals. You will manage a team of professionals, monitor planning and budgeting, and collaborate closely with other departments and external partners.

Responsibilities:

Lead and coordinate daily operations.
Develop and implement operational strategies to achieve project objectives.
Oversee project execution, including scheduling, quality, and budget management.
Optimize work processes to enhance efficiency and productivity.
Maintain relationships with clients, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
Collaborate with maintenance teams to schedule and oversee machine park maintenance.
Report to the management on project progress and outcomes.
Train and develop team members to improve their skills and performance.
Stay informed about sector developments in Tanzania and respond strategically.

Skills:

Strong leadership and project management skills.
Excellent communication skills in both Dutch and English.
Problem-solving skills with a hands-on mentality.
Flexibility and adaptability to work in a dynamic and challenging environment.

Qualifications:

At least 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in earthworks or infrastructure.
Willingness to relocate to Tanzania for a minimum of 2 years.
Relevant MBO, HBO, or university degree.
Proven experience in budget management and process optimization.
Knowledge of Swahili is an advantage.
Knowledge of the local market and regulations is a plus.
