- Plan, teach, and co-teach face-to-face and distance lessons to deliver academic and extracurricular programs.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop rigorous and engaging learning experiences, and create and implement individualized behavior and learning plans for students.
- Participate in professional development sessions to enhance teaching skills and stay up-to-date with curriculum developments.
- Develop and administer formative and summative assessments to track student progress and analyze data for growth.
- Lead student social and emotional development through character quotient sessions and reflections.
- Plan and deliver programs to support struggling students or extend high-achieving students.
- Participate in place-based education and career and tertiary pathways education as required.
- Develop and implement behavior management strategies to promote a positive school culture.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues, parents, and other stakeholders.
- Nurture a high-achieving work environment that values and supports all students.
- Promote the vision and mission of SPARK Schools to staff, students, families, and the community.
- Implement strategies from the Crisis Management team and adhere to child protection, anti-bullying, and health and safety policies.
- Attend Saturday events and parent community meetings.
- English language fluency.
- Completed degree or PGCE in Mathematical Sciences and Mathematical Literacy FET.
- Minimum 3-5 years teaching experience with at least 2 years of successful matric pass.
- SACE registration.
- Clear/Clean criminal record.
