About the role:


The QA Pharmacist ensures compliance to quality requirements as dictated by current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and the Internal Reckitt Policies and Procedures.

To foster and develop a culture of quality within the Supply Division, by monitoring and ensuring compliance with the Reckitt Global Quality Systems, Good Manufacturing Practices and local Regulatory requirements and to ensure that all the Suppliers and it's co-packers adheres to the required quality and GMP standards.

Furthermore, to assess all Healthcare and Personal care products against registered requirements and authorise release for sale.

The position holder has direct influence on Reckitt healthcare earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) by preventing major authority enforcements due to non-GMP/GDP compliance.

Such enforcements can easily result in financial damage and severe loss of reputation at authorities/ regulatory bodies, patients and customers.


Your responsibilities:


  • Identifies and resolves quality incidents, both internally and from outside suppliers (vendors of materials and copackers).
  • Contributes actively to the quality improvement of existing products through key Quality KPI objectives.
  • Coordinates and compiles documentation for healthcare products
  • Local Batch Packaging and Manufacturing documents in compliance with TDS and Imported Packaging Checks and Analytical Test specifications for pharmaceutical products in compliance with registered dossiers.
  • SOP Management and Maintenance of Good Documentation Practice.
  • Provide Support for Annual Product Quality Reviews on all Healthcare products in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Fully support QMS in ensuring processes are followed to the Deviation, CAPA, Quality Risk Management and Change Controls procedures as laid out by Reckitt.
  • Succession plan for the Deputy Responsible Pharmacist and potentially the Quality Assurance Manager based on performance and desire for the role

The experience we're looking for:


  • Minimum: B.Pharm Degree (non negotiable)
  • At least 12 years' experience in Quality Assurance/Production Preferable
  • Previous managerial experience would be advantageous
  • Any applicable QMS course
  • Good analytical, organising and communication skills.
  • Good Computer literacy (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc).
  • Consumer Focus, drives results, collaborates with others, manages complexity
  • Strong cross functional skills, Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Organizational and administrative skills, very good English skills
