Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Data Scientist, who will be responsible for analysing large datasets, developing machine learning models, and implementing data-driven solutions. They work closely with cross-functional teams within the design and construction sector to gather requirements, clean and pre-process data, and perform exploratory data analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

You will be required to assist in developing and maintaining data pipelines, conducting statistical analysis, and visualising data.

Collect, clean, and pre-process data from various sources to ensure its quality and reliability.

Develop and implement data pipelines for efficient data extraction and transformation.

Conduct exploratory data analysis to understand patterns, trends, and anomalies in the data.

Identify relevant variables and relationships that can inform business decisions.

Create compelling visualizations to communicate complex findings to non-technical stakeholders.

Develop dashboards and reports to facilitate data-driven decision-making.

Essential Skills:

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related quantitative discipline.

Minimum 3 years experience working as a Data Scientist or in a similar role.

Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R is essential.

Strong understanding of statistical analysis, data manipulation, and data visualization techniques.

Knowledge of machine learning algorithms and frameworks is desirable.

Proficiency with Power BI and Excel.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to formulate and test hypotheses, identify patterns and trends in data, and draw meaningful insights from complex datasets.

Experience in the construction or financial sectors would be a plus but not essential.
