    African Market Sales Representative

    • Proactively identify and secure new business opportunities within the African market.
    • Maintain and build relationships with customer and industry stakeholders, including mines department.
    • Meet budgeted sales targets.
    • Process new sales leads by preparing and sending quotes, as well as follow-up communication.
    • Negotiate terms and conditions of sale with clients, including payment terms, freight, and currency.
    • Prepare and present tenders and presentations to showcase company products and services.
    • Provide excellent customer service by offering advice and technical information to customers.
    • Engage in extensive travel for mine visits, commissioning, training, presentations, entertaining, expos, and trade days.
    • Ensure that refuge chambers sold are commissioned and serviced according to company specifications.
    • Present sales results and opportunities to management during monthly consultations.
    • Update the company's CRM system.
    • Coordinate service and operator training with customers.
    • Develop a yearly strategic plan for the region.

    Key Responsibilities

    Leadership and Development:

    Motivate, train, and mentor agents and distributors to achieve sales targets and grow their businesses.

    Requirements

    Experience and Skills:

    • 5+ years' experience in a similar role, preferably in the mining, construction, or petrochemical industry.
    • Technical aptitude and ability to understand complex equipment and systems.
    • Strong communication and presentation skills to engage with senior management and other stakeholders.
    • Proven ability to source and maintain customer accounts, with a focus on building long-term relationships.
    • Self-motivated and career-focused individual who can work independently and as part of a team.
    • Ability to travel extensively for business purposes.
    • Proficiency in MS Suite programs, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
    • Diploma or degree in a relevant field is an advantage.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with customers, colleagues, and management.
