Reddam House Constantia is located in the beautiful Constantia Valley, opposite the award winning Steenberg vineyard and golf estate. Welcoming children from Stage 1 to Grade 12, we are a top performing IEB school that excels in equipping our students to thrive after school. ROLE SUMMARY:

To adopt an aspirant view to students in their care, promoting the general progress and wellbeing of individuals and of any class or group assigned to them. To create a positive learning environment and motivate students to achieve their full potential.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Carry out of full responsibility and duties required of a Mathematics and Sciences teacher.
Establish a teaching environment that is nurturing, and which promotes engaged learning.
Behave in a professional manner with regard to punctuality, behaviour, standards of work and students' homework.
Add value to the team, in the classroom and beyond i.e. fulfilling various school life duties.
Use technology effectively and creatively to enhance learning.
Creation of rich, real and relevant 21 century content and high quality resources for students.
Evaluate, reflect on and refine teaching practice.
Be open to continuously develop ones teaching through personal and school wide professional development.
Teach extra lessons, when required, on two afternoons per week.
Show loyalty to all facets of Reddam House.
Attend all special occasions at the discretion of the relevant Head.
Set and mark assessments and all other forms of student evaluation.
Write report comments.
The post holder is required to undertake any other reasonable tasks that the School Head/line manager determine.

Able to set clear expectations and stretching goals
Adaptable teaching style incorporating feedback
Ability to judge learning effectiveness
Excellent preparation and planning
Assessment of student outcomes and feedback to enhance performance
Genuine care and attention for the highest standards of student welfare
A minimum of
5** years experience with students in the Intermediate Phase (Grade 47) i.e primary school level
Experience and confidence with use of ICT in teaching
Previous experience within the South African Independent Schools system
Previous experience in a highperforming international school
University degree in appropriate phase (Intermediate Phase)

Certified Teaching Status

SACE registered
Appropriate right to work
Google /Apple Accredited Educator
