Qualifications:


  • Minimum of 35 years of experience in warehouse management, preferably in a regulated industry.
  • Strong knowledge of firearms and ammunition regulations and compliance.

Firearm Competency to Trade:


  • Must be fluent in
    AFRIKAANS and English
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in warehouse management software and MS Office Suite.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects and operate warehouse equipment.
  • Attention to detail and strong problemsolving abilities.
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety and security.

Key Responsibilities:


Inventory Management:


  • Oversee inventory control procedures, including receiving, tracking, and monitoring stock levels.
  • Regularly performing stock takes
  • Ensure accurate recordkeeping of product quantities, types, and locations.
  • Implement inventory management best practices.

Compliance and Safety:


  • Maintain strict adherence to laws and regulations regarding firearms and ammunition storage and distribution.
  • Conduct regular safety training for warehouse staff.

Team Leadership:


  • Train and supervise warehouse personnel.
  • Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Fleet and Vehicle Control:


  • Ensuring services are done on time.
  • Ensuring vehicles are booked in and out and periodic checking of tracking reports to deliveries.

Logistics and Shipping:


  • Coordinating inventory shipments, including packaging, labelling, and documentation.
  • Collaborate with transportation providers to optimize shipping and delivery schedules.
  • Resolve shipping and receiving discrepancies promptly.

Facility Maintenance:


  • Oversee warehouse facilities, ensuring they are clean, organized, and secure.
  • Schedule and oversee equipment maintenance and repairs.

Process Improvement:


  • Continuously assess warehouse operations and identify opportunities for efficiency improvements.
  • Implement process enhancements to optimize productivity and reduce costs.

Reporting:


  • Generate regular reports on inventory levels, order fulfilment, and other key performance indicators.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to senior management.
