    Key Responsibilities

    We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team in the role of Accountant. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional client service, ensuring accurate financial data, and maintaining effective working relationships with clients.

    Transfer Agency (Client Services)

    • Processing Client Transactions: Process client transactions in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
    • Assisting Clients: Respond to client queries and provide support in relation to their transactions and balances.
    • Performing Due Diligence: Conduct due diligence and FICA checks on clients to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

    Fund Accounting

    • Transaction Processing: Process transactions within each Unit Trust, including buys and sells of instruments, income and expenditure, cash movements, and revaluation of instruments.
    • Daily Valuation Reports: Compile daily valuation reports for each unit trust, holdings reports, performance contribution reports, price movement reports, and assist with monthly and quarterly reporting on holdings to various regulatory bodies.
    • Income Distribution: Assist with the distribution of income within unit trusts to investors.

    Trade Middle Office Duties

    • Capturing Trades: Capture trades and report them to custodians.
    • Settling Trades: Assist custodians in matching and settling trades.

    The ideal candidate will possess a BCom Accounting degree, minimum 2 years of experience in Fund Accounting, and proficiency in Excel. Experience in accounting/coding and exposure to SQL or other code is desirable. The ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and maintain high levels of accuracy is essential.
