Description of the position

Accounting associate professionals maintain complete records of financial transactions of an undertaking and verify accuracy of documents and records relating to such transactions.

Maintains and evaluates records of financial transactions in account books and computerised accounting systems.

Tasks related to this position include but are not limited to
Using standard computer software packages to perform accounting and related calculations

Preparing financial statements and reports for specified periods

Reviewing the work of accounts and bookkeeping clerks.

Maintaining complete records of all financial transactions of an undertaking according to general bookkeeping principles.

Verifying accuracy of documents and records relating to payments, receipts and other financial transactions.

Qualification and competencies:

Accounting or finance related Diploma/Degree
Computer literate
Knowledge of Pastel Posting (Requirement)
Organisational, interpersonal, communication, analytical skills and attention to detail
