Role purpose:


The Order to Cash (OTC) function is responsible to correctly execute all trade partner incentive payments, reconcile all interfaces, and generate invoices and credit notes for trade partners.

The end result is to accurately reflect the financial position of the organisation and to ensure local financial statements are compliant with accounting standards.

The manager of Order to Cash should be able to lead a team, processes and information requirements to perform accounting responsibilities in a timely and accurate manner, in accordance with defined operating procedures, policies, SOX, compliance and business partner service level agreements.

The incumbent's people, personal and operational leadership skills will be of a very high standard. Past achievements will clearly demonstrate a capability to manage in World class transactional processing and business partner excellence. The incumbent will be a member of the wider Finance Operational management team.


Key Functional Accountabilities:


Strategic input:


Contribute to, challenge and implement the strategic vision for World Class Finance processes in alignment with Finops' objectives and requirements.

Ensure this is communicated and agreed by key stakeholders.

Define with the OTC Executive Head the overall business plan to ensure delivery to Finops' customers and markets, and to ensure competitiveness on all elements.


Operational Planning,
Ensure the achievement of financial objectives set for the year for overall processes and by key stakeholder partners.
Be accountable for the end-to-end finance process for Dealer Commissions, including control functions.
Act as key custodian for accounting records and -procedures.

Together with the Executive Head consider the impact of solutions on other areas of the business, as well as the interdependency of business units.

Implement and drive quality standard frameworks and ensure that high levels of quality accounting are maintained, including alignment with global best practices.

Identifying, drafting and scoping of effective reports.
Analysis and reporting of the data, identification of trends and abnormalities.
To deliver daily, weekly and monthly reporting, internal to Finance Operations as well as for Business Partners.
Participate in and manage Projects where appropriate.
Customer Satisfaction
Build and maintain solid relationships with all stakeholders.
Adopt a proactive approach to prevent problems from arising in the future.
Align service delivery to changing needs and ensure effective customer and stakeholder management.

Ensure customer needs and requirements are satisfied through appropriate systems / processes / procedures being in place and ensuring that they deliver on customer specific strategies.

Maintain a thorough knowledge of commercial terms of agreements with suppliers.


Communication
Written material must be of the highest quality with clear insights and actions for executive management
Ensure communication and fundamental understanding of OTC strategy to all affected parties.
The ability to prepare presentations, communicate and present effectively and with impact at a senior level is essential.
As a key member of the Finops wider leadership team ensure involvement in driving the successes of Vodacom.


Your responsibilities will include:


Reporting
SAP & HFM reports;
Monthly Balance Sheet & Income Statement;
Monthly Management Reports;
Monthly KPI/KFIs
Ad-hoc


Month-end
Review weekly and monthly financial reports relating to Acquisition and Retention Costs;
Analyse the reports to derive insights and provide financial recommendations to Senior Leadership to support the operational strategy of the business to achieve the financial targets;
Reviewing accruals and provision calculations and identify areas of improvement to reduce accruals.

Review agreements between Vodacom and various stakeholders and engage with the Shared service centre on process optimisation relating to invoice processing.


Dealer Commission Accounting Process Management
Manage the Dealer Commissions Team to ensure that the information used to report results and provide analyses to Senior Leadership and decision makers is valid, accurate and complete;
Engage with the EHoD's prior to finalisation of contracts to provide recommendations and impact assessments on working capital management/accounting therein;
Provide guidance on the content of Commercial agreements to ensure the business objectives align to the applicable accounting treatment;
Prepare and present reports and analysis on financial results to Senior Leadership


Working capital management
Review the cash flow forecasts for Dealer Commissions and engage with Senior Leadership on the forecasted position and underlying risks;
Review working capital KPI's to determine whether forecasting models are accurate
