    Product Compliance Manager

    A highly skilled Product Compliance Manager is sought to join our client's Electronic company in the East Rand (Johannesburg), a renowned hub for technological advancements.

    Duties & Responsibilities

    • Oversee product compliance, ensuring seamless integration with regulatory frameworks.
    • Collaborate closely with product development managers to address product-related queries and concerns.
    • Conduct thorough product compliance research to stay abreast of industry developments.
    • Provide Quality Assurance, guaranteeing products meet stringent standards.
    • Effectively manage customer-related issues, delivering prompt resolutions.
    • Engage with cross-functional teams within SMD to tackle complex compliance challenges.
    • Work independently and collaboratively, leveraging resources, policies, and procedures to drive success.
    • Pursue Regulatory certification based on product category - ICASA, NRCS, and SAHPRA.
    • Evaluate and obtain certifications for products categories outside South Africa, such as Botswana and Australia.
    • Implement retrospective and preventive compliance actions, preventing incorrect information from being printed on Product/Packaging.
    • Manage disputes arising from Compliance Actions and Penalties.
    • Create and maintain accurate product codes on internal systems.
    • Execute ad hoc tasks as required.

    Desired Experience & Qualification

    • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in an electronic products environment.
    • A relevant tertiary qualification, emphasizing expertise in compliance management.
    • Advanced MS Excel skills to analyze and present complex data.
    • A deep understanding of electronic products, including their design, functionality, and applications.
    • Proven experience working with regulatory bodies, navigating compliance requirements, and facilitating certification processes.
    • Familiarity with standards published by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC), South African Bureau of Standards (SABS), European Standards (EN).
