    About the Role

    We are seeking an experienced Application Support Specialist to join our team.

    The primary function of this role is to provide technical support for business-critical applications, ensuring seamless execution and meeting agreed service level agreements. This involves collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to deploy and support technology capabilities within the IT division.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Manage vendor relationships and cross-functional teams to ensure task completion where dependencies exist.
    • Engage with business users, development teams, and stakeholders to clarify requirements and resolve issues related to data, problem-solving initiatives, and system functionality.

    Business Objectives and Financial Goals

    • Focus on continuous improvement initiatives to enhance overall effectiveness and efficiency across Production and Testing environments.
    • Support and monitor systems to guarantee accurate, timely, and compliant execution in line with SLAs.
    • Apply cost-effective principles in daily operations to contribute to departmental financial targets.

    Minimum Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology.
    • Certifications: MS SQL (including SSRS, SSAS, and SSIS).
    • At least 5 years of experience in a specialist application support position.
    • Extensive experience in supporting core mission-critical systems.
    • Proven ability to handle multiple core-application landscapes and high-pressure work environments.

    Required Skills and Knowledge

    • Implementation and support of technologies such as Microsoft, Linux, and 3rd party applications.
    • Adaptability in responding to significant changes at work.
    • Building and maintaining effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
    • Communicating complex information effectively.
    • Conducting Business Impact Analysis and root cause analysis.
    • Developing educational materials and presenting information.
    • Evaluating information systems and interacting with clients.
    • Managing work queues and monitoring adherence to policies and procedures.
