JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY:


The Tasting Room and Deli Manager is responsible for leading the team on both daily operational functions while also focusing on the financial and promotional targets set for the Deli/Tasting Room.

S/he will guide the team to uphold consistent excellence in guest service, while driving for results and achieving maximum performance across all areas of the Deli/Tasting Room.


REPORTING STRUCTURE:
The Tasting Room/Deli Manager reports directly to the Direct Wine Marketer and Food & Beverage Manager.

Must have:
minimum 2 years' experience in similar position, driver's license, strong managerial & communication skills,

Must be:
Self-disciplined, motivated, energetic, well-spoken/groomed


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


General:


  • Establishing close and effective working relations with guests including tour operators
  • Maintain and improve the high quality of service to ensure guests receive 5star experiences
  • Assuming responsibility for the Tasting Room & Deli overall operations and their efficiency
  • Responsible for meeting Tasting Room & Deli sales goals set by management.
  • Develop innovative ideas to ensure continuation of Tasting Room & Deli growth
  • Process all daily sales including daily commissions and shipping orders
  • Handle routine purchasing transactions, including operating cash registers and accounting for daily sales. Ensure that cash accounting is correct and complete at the end of the business day.
  • Responsible for scheduling (in the Tasting Room & Deli and on Dineplan) and managing all wine tasting and private bookings for the Tasting Room & Deli
  • Responsible for staff schedule and training for wine events and functions
  • Responsible for the organisation and execution of wine events and special promotions as requested
  • Handle all guest experience issues in a courteous and respectful manner
  • To learn and uphold the principles and goals of the property
  • Maintain winery image to reinforce the high standards of the brand
  • Ability to work most weekends and some holidays
  • Biweekly stock takes
  • Commission documentation
  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned by management.
