    Description

    Product Manager Job Description

    The Product Manager is responsible for managing product categories and implementing marketing initiatives to create an efficient and profitable product range in South Africa and neighbouring countries. The position reports to the Marketing Executive, becoming the owner of the product with support. Drives optimisation, innovation, and continuous improvements of product ranges. Works with HQ and local engineering team to develop and launch new product lines. Develops and implements the marketing plan in line with marketing strategy, managing activity plans to drive market share and profitability.

    This role requires a skilled professional who can carry out complex analysis, make sound judgments and solve problems efficiently.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Product Range Development and Implementation: Developing and executing a comprehensive product strategy, including market research, competitor analysis and customer feedback.
    • Brand & Communication: Managing brand reputation, developing marketing campaigns and ensuring consistent branding across all channels.

    Requirements:

    • Analytical thinking, problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
    • Strong knowledge of MS Office Suite, especially Excel.
    • A team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Proactive, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
    • Empathy and passion for solving customers' problems.
    • Show initiative, creativity, integrity and teamwork.

    Qualifications and Experience:

    • 5+ years experience as a Product Manager in FMCG.
    • NQF Level 7 or 8 (Bachelors degree) in Economics / Business / Commerce.
