Employer Description
A 40 Roomed upmarket boutique Hotel situated over 5 properties located in Pretoria.

This role is currently vacant as their manager retired during the pandemic and they never replaced the person. There is now a need and they are now in a position to replace the role. The boutique Hotel is run as an extension of a sister Hotel. All reservations, admin, payments, salaries, even laundry is done by the Hotel. Buffet lunch and dinner is also prepared at the Hotel and transported to the boutique Hotel currently. So in terms of F&B only limited a la carte and buffet breakfast is prepared at the boutique Hotel.

Even though the hotel operates as a 3 star property they are probably closer to 4 star. They would therefore like the GM to have had 4/5 star experience to maintain this level. We require strong F&B skills to expand this side of the business and increase the quality on offer. A prerequisite would also be that the person cannot sit in the office all day.

The fact that the property spans over 5 properties means constant walkabouts in gardens and room inspections to make sure quality is adhered to, is essential.

The person will be responsible for everything at the hotel and will report directly to the CEO.


Qualifications
Formal Hospitality Qualifications will prove an advantage.


Skills
Exceptional Guest Service skills. Hands on Management style. Great attention to detail. Well-experienced within a similar role. Active and fit and always overseeing quality throughout the property (Not Office Bound). Good Leadership skills.
