Description
JOB DESCRIPTION - FINANCIAL CONTROLLER
Seeking a dynamic and independent thinker to assume the pivotal role of overseeing the payroll department,
ensuring its efficient and seamless operations. This individual will lead and guide the payroll team to deliver precise
possessing exceptional numeric and analytical skills.
PAYROLL
- Oversee and operate the company's payrolls in line with legislation, latest tax laws, audit control
- Produce accurate and timely reporting of all data as required by the business
- Monthly submission of EMP201's
- Prepare the IRP5 reconciliation and submission process of midyear & tax year ends to the relevant tax
- Ensure that all payroll staff are trained on new updates eg. Legislation, systems and processes
- Provide an advisory service to HR and management regarding payroll processes, requirements and
- Ensure that adhoc deductions are processed accurately
- Statistical analysis of remuneration for the Group
- Assist with annual submissions
- Employment Equity, BEE, SDL
- Training claims
- Annual COIDA submissions for all business
- Claim process for injuries on duty
- Overall knowledge on UIF claims and submission
- Monthly payroll for permanent staff
- Department of Labour Audits
Payroll systems:
- Dbit
- Pastel Payroll
FINANCIAL
- Oversee purchase ledger activities
- Control and verification of all bank payments
- Journals for weekly and monthly payrolls
- Overseeing the debtors ledger
- Posting of weekly transaction into debtors ledger created by payroll invoices
- Monthly balance sheet reconciliations
- Preparing quotes and ensuring the relevant clients increases are dealt with
- Invoicing monthly rentals for all properties and tracking payment records
- PAYE reconciliation and payments on a monthly basis
- Monthly VAT reconciliation and efiling for various entities
- Managing and reconciling petty cash
- Monthly reporting of turnover and costs in order to calculate commission
- Weekly sales reporting
- Quarterly statistical information to be submitted
- Monthly management packs
- Preparation for annual audit
