An exciting hybrid position is available for an Assistant Accountant within a leading integrated company that has an international presence.

This person will be responsible for the maintenance of the bank accounts, accounts payable function and the maintenance of a clean, accurate and complete accounts payable / purchase ledger function.


Responsibilities:


  • Processing of matched purchase order and invoice documents to accounting system
  • Liaising with suppliers and ensuring adequate accruals for missing invoices
  • Review and preparation of supplier payment runs
  • Enforcing the purchase order policy and guidelines
  • Review of supplier aged analysis monthly for balance sheet review
  • Submitting monthly VAT201 returns and reconciling VAT to revenue
  • Reconcile and control staff loan accounts
  • Assist with Balance Sheet recons and management accounts

Requirements:


  • Relevant 3 or 4 year accounting degree
  • 2+ years solid general accounting and accounts payable experience
  • Proficient in data entry and management, with excellent MS Excel skills
