Assistant Accountant - Southern Suburbs, South Africa - CA Financial Appointments
Description
An exciting hybrid position is available for an Assistant Accountant within a leading integrated company that has an international presence.
This person will be responsible for the maintenance of the bank accounts, accounts payable function and the maintenance of a clean, accurate and complete accounts payable / purchase ledger function.
Responsibilities:
- Processing of matched purchase order and invoice documents to accounting system
- Liaising with suppliers and ensuring adequate accruals for missing invoices
- Review and preparation of supplier payment runs
- Enforcing the purchase order policy and guidelines
- Review of supplier aged analysis monthly for balance sheet review
- Submitting monthly VAT201 returns and reconciling VAT to revenue
- Reconcile and control staff loan accounts
- Assist with Balance Sheet recons and management accounts
Requirements:
- Relevant 3 or 4 year accounting degree
- 2+ years solid general accounting and accounts payable experience
- Proficient in data entry and management, with excellent MS Excel skills
