    About the Role

    The Spar Group Limited is seeking a highly skilled Fresh Food Manager to join our team at Spar Norwood.

    This is a challenging opportunity for an experienced professional to take on a key leadership role in ensuring the optimal performance of our service departments.

    Main Responsibilities

    1. Department Performance Management: Oversee and manage department targets and profitability to drive business growth.
    2. Inventory Management: Effectively manage stock levels to minimize waste and optimize inventory turnover.
    3. Pricing and Point-of-Sale (POS) Management: Ensure accurate pricing and efficient POS operations to enhance customer satisfaction.
    4. Service Department Promotions: Develop and implement promotional strategies to drive sales and increase customer engagement.
    5. Team Management: Lead and motivate a high-performing team to achieve exceptional results.
    6. Customer Service: Foster strong relationships with customers to ensure their needs are met and exceeded.
    7. Store Operations: Open and close the store, ensuring seamless day-to-day operations.

    Requirements

    • MATRIC / NQF Level 4 equivalent qualification or recognized technical qualification
    • At least 5 years' experience in a similar role
    • Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings and weekends
    • Product knowledge and understanding of retail operations
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Aptitude for working under pressure and meeting deadlines
    • Resilience and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
