Job Purpose:
To facilitate, assess, and present driver training interventions, ensuring compliance with industry standards and legislative requirements. To provide support to the Operations in terms of drivers training compliance and manuals. Compliance with OSHAC - Labor Relations Act and Skills Development Act whilst maintaining sound IR
Key Accountabilities:
- Compile and submit all trainingrelated reports within a given timeframe.
- Present lessons for different groups of drivers.
- Honesty

- Develop and Update with new information training material for trainees.
- Schedule training as per Operations requirements
- Train potential drivers to enable them to achieve set standards by DSC.
- Address fuel consumption queries practically, by achieving above average results.
- Ensure correct use of vehicle and other company equipment and to timeously report any defects.
- To report and record any nonconformity with regards to vehicles
- To Maintain high levels of hygiene of the vehicle.
- Creating curriculum that accomplishes the set objectives.
- New recruits and post accidents assessments
- To work within operating areas as determined by management and the needs of the business.
- Follow standard operating procedures and safe working practices as per Driver Manual.
- Maintain cooperation with Operations Department to ensure correct utilization of competent drivers.
- Ensure vehicle is driven in a safe and courteous manner.
- Complete manifest documentation, correctly, accurately, and timeously.
- Conduct all communication in a polite professional manner which promotes respect, goodwill and trust.
- Wear Company uniform with pride ensuring they are clean and presentable.
Qualifications, Experience & Attributes:
- Grade 1
- Valid EC License and PrDP
- DGP will be an advantage.
- 5 years in warehousing/logistics/FMCG environment
- Tertiary qualification will be an advantage.
- Good written and communication skills and understand basic arithmetical principles.
- Person should know what products are handled by the Company.
- Person needs basic understanding of distribution and transport methods.
- Person should be able to enforce health and safety procedures and identify hazards.
- Person should have a good understanding of quality as a key value.
- Awareness of importance of security
- Operational knowledge and understanding of service delivery.
- Ability to understand instructions and to accurately carry out instructions, must listen effectively and convey ideas logically.
- React to customers in a courteous and professional manner.
- 5 Years driving experience in an FMCG environment.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to build good working relationships.
