    Job Description

    To manage all project accounts functions within the Business unit.

  • To prepare monthly Project Accountants Report and Calculation of project profits
  • Create a month end report for all projects which details the following elements:
  • Analysis of amounts billed to customers and analysis of amounts not yet invoiced to customers

    Analysis of all project costs incurred and costs not yet recorded on the project accounting module.

    Inputs and calculation of monthly project profits and revenue.

  • To manage project debtors invoicing and costs from suppliers
  • Follow instructions per order/contract from customers and generate the progress certificate so that clients can be billed accurately for work performed.
  • Ensure that all costs on the project are correct as per the purchase order received from the supplier, and creation of related documentation as per company policy.
  • To reconcile costs and billings on Project Accounting system
  • Prepare a reconciliation to ensure that all invoicing and costs are recorded on the project accounting system. This reconciliation would include manhours, sundry costs and amounts invoiced to clients.
  • To collaborate with various departments in the company
  • Collaborate with the various departments within the company on project related matters.
  • To generate cash flow forecasts on the projects
  • Generate cash flows on all projects.
  • To follow up on outstanding debtors
  • Interact with customers and follow up on outstanding debtors invoicing.
  • To forecast and report to Project Manager/Financial Manager/Costing Manager
  • Generate reports as and when required from various managers.

    Qualifications

    QUALIFICATIONS

  • Grade 12
  • B Comm Degree
  • SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 8 years' experience in the Project Engineering / EPCM or Construction or related industry.
  • Accounting - Knowledge of basic accounting principles and IFRS
  • Fiscal & Statutory financial statements - Knowledge of fiscal and tax issues of the company activities and projects (Advantageous)
  • Industry knowledge - Knowledge of the specific industry
  • Reporting -Ability to prepare detailed reports and manage the most effective techniques and tools in report drafting.
  • Intermediate Excel Skills
  • Project Management - Knowledge of basic project management methods and knowledge of all project life cycle phases (Advantageous).
