Description
Overview of responsibilities include (not to be treated as an exhaustive list):- Compile estimates for all transport modes
- Request landside and freight charges
- Quality check estimates continuously
- Ensure up to date knowledge of customs tarrifs and port charges
- Negotiations of rates with 3rd parties
- Complete and submit tenders
Attibutes, knowledge and experience required:
- Relevant industry experience is a MUST
- Working experience of a minimum of 2 years in Freight Forwarding and Clearing
- A minimum qualification of Grade 12 or equavalent
- High level of computer literacy
- Knowledge of transport modes roads, air and ocean
- Good knowledge of Incoterms 2010
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure
