This role reports to the Head of Merchandising and Promotions.

Your responsibilities will include:


  • Working closely with the Divisional Heads, Discovery Team and Marketing to measure and direct onsite traffic to feature categories and product ranges that ensures continuous visibility of all inventory classes, full margin products, seasonal and trending products, mark downs and new launches in line with business objectives.
  • Optimise and work together with discovery team and catalogue product team to continuously improve the integrity of navigation on site and app navigation by means of continuous site walks, sample checking and benchmarking exercises.
  • Measure, report on and improve the performance of all site merchandising assets, including landing pages and CMS tools, by evaluating the performance of each merchandising initiative and deployment, developing an analytical framework for performance tracking and learning.
  • Lead and collaborate with divisional and Catalogue teams to define and optimise product information requirements to ensure optimal merchandising through relevant product attribute coverage across all product categories.
  • Lead and grow a team of merchandisers and curators to drive performance of merchandising assets and initiatives.
  • Benchmark the customer user journeys on all platforms with international best practice and trends. Collaborate with product teams and commercial teams across the business and make recommendations for new features, merchandising tools and UI/UX changes to improve site usability, user engagement, navigation and conversion rates.
  • Launch new strategic themes and merchandising assets including seasonal landing pages and anchor promotions.

Qualifications and Experience:


  • 5+ years' experience in a highperformance environment in either online merchandising, content strategy and/or marketing
  • Ecommerce experience is advantageous
  • Bachelor's degree preferable (Preferable postgraduate degree)
  • Strong competency in analytical tools such as Google Analytics required
  • Previous leadership experience preferred
  • Experience with website optimisation and engagement tools preferred
