Responsibilities of an Operations Manager:


  • Growing and increasing revenue in the company's geographical area and beyond.
  • Effectively manage operations to achieve the best results monthly, quarterly and annually.
  • Continually identifying and developing new and existing business accounts.
  • Working to build, support and motivate a tightlyknit team to achieve high standards of business excellence.

Minimum Requirements:

Mining qualification: Blasting Ticket/Shift Boss/Mine Overseer:

  • Clear criminal record.

_ Minimum 10 years' experience_ **working in a managerial/leadership role within a mining or mining contracting business.

  • Technical and Commercial experience in Secondary Support, Underground Equipping/Construction, Ventilation, Sweeping and Vamping, Haulage Maintenance, and other mining services.
  • The ability to lead, support and motivate people.
  • Excellent communication and customer care skills.
  • Lead and manage Tender processes (estimation and technical proposals)
  • The ability to independently plan, organize and work to tight deadlines.
  • Greater understanding of the local market.
  • Industryspecific sales experience within the mining contracting industry.
  • Manage the Finance and Administration, Health and Safety and Buying functions
  • Weekly and monthly reporting to senior management.
