Job Title: Instrumentation Team Supervisor

Location: Rustenburg, South Africa

The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising the instrumentation team in the safe design, installation, repair, and maintenance of instrumentation equipment.

Minimum Qualifications and Requirements:

• A National Diploma or N4 qualification in Instrumentation, along with a recognized Instrumentation Trade Test is essential.
• Four years of working experience as a qualified Instrument Plant Mechanician.
• Computer literacy (MS Office package) and knowledge of SAP is mandatory.
• A valid driver's license and own transport (Code B).
• A valid medical certificate or the ability to obtain one.

Competencies:

• An understanding of basic electrical and mechanical engineering principles.
• Familiarity with fault-finding techniques on field instrumentation.
• Self-motivation is essential.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Supervising instrumentation maintenance activities.
• Directing mechanicians according to emergency priorities submitted by Production personnel.
• Reporting to the Instrumentation Specialist and C&I Engineer on all activities and problem areas.
• Maintaining a healthy service relationship between personnel through daily meetings.
• Providing instrument mechanicians with expertise/assistance in solving technical problems.
• Guiding and assisting instrument mechanicians with daily maintenance activities.
• Staying informed on the latest technology for application or replacement of present systems.
• Scheduling planned major maintenance services on control instrumentation.
• Performing standby duties as required.
