What the Job entails:

  • Ensure the highest standard of safety performance is maintained by adhering to the company's safety policies/requirements.
  • Be at the forefront of external market/industry trends and commodity insights (includes consideration for structuring options and developing/implementing sourcing strategy).
  • Work collaboratively with site personnel and procurement to implement contracts as well as investigating, analysing and recommending opportunities for cost reduction.
  • Provide analytical support to the Senior Sourcing Specialist for all sourcing projects, including review of pricing proposals, RF(x) proposals, agreement renewals and business cases.
  • Be the point of contact for any contractual enquires from site. This may include service and product specifications, costs, KPIs and rebates.
  • Adopt the Performance focused relationship management approach with suppliers and business units.

To succeed in this role, you will have:

  • 2 to 5 years of prior experience in procurement, contract law, supply chain, engineering, or business is required.
  • Degree or Diploma in (legal, commerce or Engineering)
  • Solid problemsolving and analytical skills coupled with ability to make logical/business sense decisions.
  • Good communication to present Business Case, establish relationship with endusers
  • Very good use of Excel (Graph/Pivot Table) and SAP is required.
  • Good influencing and relationship management skills.
  • Excellent skills with Windows environment and Microsoft office suite are essential.
  • South African driving licence
