OK Furniture, a division of the Shoprite Group, Africa's largest retailer, currently has an excellent opportunity available to join our Avdertising team.

This opportunity will have you operating in a fast-paced furniture retail environment. If you have good administrative background, then this is the role for you.

  • Job Objectives
  • Managing the annual Activity Calendar, from which marketing is planned and expedited.
  • Managing the budget and spends of said Calendar, as per each job's stipulations.
  • Prepare and open Job Cards to respective Agencies or Suppliers, providing all appropriate support documentation.
  • Manage processes that entail systematic debriefing (to whichever Agency or Supplier), quoting, booking, ordering of marketing jobs hence a good administrative background is beneficial.
  • Manage processes which entail the checking and approval of various marketing channels, from Print, to Electronic, Social & Digital etc.
  • Working closely with both internal and external parties to ensure all marketing jobs are planned and executed accordingly.
  • Communicate marketing events to Branches to aide them in being adequately prepared for all advertising that occurs.
  • Qualifications
  • Grade 12, is essential
  • Diploma or higher certificate, is desirable
  • Experience
  • Have a minimum of 5yrs working experience.
  • Retail experience is a benefit.
  • Knowledge and Skills
  • Be flexible to travel when the need presents itself.
  • Be fluent in both English & other official languages (read and write).
  • Have good interpersonal communication skills.
  • Have above average Computer skills/literacy in Googlesuite (Sheets, Docs, Presentations specifically) and/or Word, Excel and Power Point.
  • Be selfmotivated.
  • Be accurate, with the ability to pay attention to detail.
  • Be fast paced with the ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines.
  • Administration background is an utmost benefit.
  • A creative mindframe is a benefit.
  • Some advertising or marketing background is a benefit.
  • Have some digital or social platform background (even if in a personal capacity).
  • Be diligent in time management processes and be prepared to work the extra hours as and when they are required.
  • Have the minimum of 5yrs working experience. Retail experience is a benefit.
  • Be well presented and of a professional manner.
  • Have a steady and referenceable employment history.
