Based in Cape Town, this Senior Software Engineering position is offering R1.4M CTC per annum

With a focus on digitization at the forefront of the brand, this platform has swiftly disrupted the market, offering a wide array of both local and international brands to consumers across South Africa.
THE ROLE
As the senior software engineer you will be responsible for the end-to-end process of creating software solutions, from conceptualization to deployment. This includes designing robust APIs and applications, writing code to implement them, rigorously testing for functionality and performance, and finally deploying them across platforms particularly using technologies like Web API and REST, showcases your ability to create scalable solutions.
You will need experience with Azure DevOps and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, as well as an understanding of service-oriented architecture (SOA) and microservices design principles equips you to design scalable and modular software solutions.
THE REQUIREMENTS
At least 5 years' software engineering experience building APIs and applications
Have proven experience developing APIs and web services (Web API, REST)
Have a good understanding of Go, ASP.NET MVC, Angular, JavaScript, HTML, XML and XAML
Experience with agile development methodologies and test-driven development
Exposure to SOA and micro services design and principles
Exposure to Azure DevOps and CI/CD concepts
Exposure to Apache Kafka and Red Hat OpenShift (or similar container technologies)
