Description

Role purpose:

Responsible for the quality of system development and deployment. Performing automated and manual tests to ensure the systems processes created by developers is fit for purpose. Some of the duties include analysis of systems, mitigate risk and prevent system issues.

Your responsibilities will include:

Analysing users stories and/use cases/requirements for validity and feasibility
Collaborate closely with other team members and departments
Execute all levels of testing (System, Integration, and Regression)
Design and develop automation scripts when needed
Detect and track system defects and inconsistencies
Provide timely solutions
Provide support and documentation
Responsible for the production of test scenarios, scripts and other UAT documentation and the identification and extraction of custom data for use in testing
Execution of UAT against previously defined and signed-off business requirements or user stories
Collation and reporting of all test results
Provision of information to relevant parties to allow informed decisions to be made
Highlighting key issues and problems relating to the product sign-off once the testing phase is complete
Validation of existing 'to be' processes as part of the UAT execution, incl. the revision and updating of business processes according to business requirements
Analysis and interpretation of Business Requirements, and where necessary, elicitation of further information from Business Analysts and Business Systems Administrators
Establish good working relationships across the business.
Be part of a cross functional team and advise this team on testability of business requirements
Carry out analysis of business requirements as part of the review cycle/signoff process and give recommendation to Manager/QA Specialist
Review and Analysis of Functional Specifications and Design Layout Specification in order to identify required testing conditions
Liaise with Business Systems Analysts regarding changes. Liaise with members of Operation teams regarding 'as is' process

Experience:

Atleast 5 years' experience in below fields:
Tallyman configuration experience
Database experience
Automatic experience
Practical System Testing Qualification or related Qualification (Desirable)
A Minimum of 2 years' experience in Subscriber Collections (essential)
A minimum of 5+ years of experience in system testing function

Education:

A matric/Grade 12 is essential and
Relevant Diploma/Degree in (Informatics, Project Management, Business Analysis) - advantageous

Knowledge of Financial System (IT)
Knowledge of ISO Standards
Knowledge of Legislation
