Job Purpose:
Barista

Under the supervision of the restaurant, the Barista is responsible for:

Preparing and serving a wide range of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea,

and speciality drinks, according to guest preferences and company standards.

Ensuring the quality and consistency of beverages.
Following proper recipes and preparation techniques.
Providing exceptional guest experiences.
Engaging with guests.
Taking guest orders.
Addressing any guest questions or concerns.
Operating coffee brewing and grinding equipment and machinery.
Following safety guidelines and maintenance procedures.
Maintaining a clean and organised work area, including proper storage of ingredients, supplies, and equipment.
Ensuring efficient workflow, especially during busy periods.
Staying updated on current industry trends.
Staying updated on new beverage offerings, and company promotions.
Continuously developing knowledge and skills.
Adopting an attitude of lifelong learning.
Facilitating training sessions and workshops.

Functional competencies:

Experience as a Barista in a fastpaced environment is highly advantageous.
23 years' experience preferred.
Exceptional customer service skills.
An ability to create a welcoming and friendly atmosphere.
Strong work ethic.
Ability to work well under pressure.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Effectively interacts with guests and team members.
Demonstrated ability to learn quickly.
Knowledge of different coffee beans, brewing methods, and latte art is a plus.
Basic mathematical skills.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
