Project Expeditor (M/F/d):


Your Tasks:


Objectives

The Project Expeditor will be responsible for expediting, administration, and supply chain support of solar PV EPC projects in South Africa, the position is regarded as a skilled expediting role.

Reporting to the Head of Project Supply Chain, the Expeditor will support the Supply Chain Manager, Quality Officer and Construction Manager as required.


Primary Responsibilities
Project Management

  • Monitor and report suppliers and subcontractors' procurement and manufacturing activities and deliverables in accordance with the contract and project schedule
  • Work in conjunction with the Supply Chain Manager to schedule supplier/ subcontractor meetings for projects
  • In conjunction with the Supply Chain Manager, compile and maintain registers of all supplier/ subcontractor audits and Third-Party test results within the project folder
  • Ensure that supplier products (documentation and hardware) meet the customer, project, technical, quality, and commercial requirements
  • Work in conjunction with Supplier quality team in Germany and Project Quality Officer to draw up a register for preexecution supplier quality audits and followon criteria
  • Arrange incoming and outgoing quantity and quality inspections
  • Support Contracts Manager with product related insurance claims
  • Assist Project Manager with technical queries from customers and coordination of suppliers/ subcontractors for timely resolution
Logistics

  • Work with suppliers and project stakeholders to resolve schedulerelated problems quickly, economically, and effectively
  • Provide inbound shipping information to construction site personnel relating to anticipated delivery dates, photos of load, rigging requirements to offload the shipment and storage requirements
  • Preparation of a logistic plan and ensure the delivery of the goods and service according to the delivery plan
  • Prompt notification to project team when specifications and/or scope changes adversely impact project schedule
  • Prepare weekly/ monthly manufacture status reports
  • Compile and maintain risk registers (per component group) as well as a spare parts list for the projects

Your Profile:


Qualifications and Experience

  • 3 years' experience in international procurement and supply chain management
  • Knowledge of customs clearance procedures and profound experiences in international logistics
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Power Point
  • Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Full Professional English
  • The job holder may be required to travel to project sites from time to time.

  • Multitasking and timemanagement skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
  • Highly organized and detailoriented with analytical and problemsolving skills
  • Experience within the renewable energy industry will be considered an advantage
