    Position Summary:

    Assess and approve repair estimates, ensure containers are repaired within the specified time,special equipment is prepared, and full units monitored. Respond and assist to all queries from depots and agents. Coordinate call outs.

    Key Functions and Accountabilities:


    • Overall Responsibility:


    • Facilitate maintenance & repair of containers and handle claims for damages to Hapag Lloyd container equipment.


    • Coordinate the cold treatment and controlled atmosphere shipments.


    • Arranging for repair of equipment.


    • Developing and maintaining appropriate working relationships with the vendors.


    • Monitoring estimates and actual repairs, checking that specifications are followed.


    • Manage reefer cold treatment and controlled atmosphere shipments.


    • Managing costs for maintenance and repair.


    • Performing accounting for managing man-hours per parts.


    • Managing the vendors who do the repair and maintenance.


    • Evaluating vendor performance.


    • Ensure special equipment prepared.


    • Monitor full special equipment.

    Coordinate call outs

    Technical Competencies:

    · Skill in maintenance of equipment

    · Work experience at a container depot is a pre-requisite.

    · Knowledge of refrigeration

    · Knowledge of shipping terminology and practices

    · Knowledge on cold treatment and controlled atmosphere
