A renowned establishment and wine estate in Stellenbosch is looking for an enthusiastic barman/bartender to provide an excellent guest drinking experience, who will be able to create classic and innovative drinks exceeding customers' needs and expectations.

Experience working with a luxury wine estate will be beneficial.


MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Prepare alcohol or nonalcohol beverages for bar and restaurant patrons.
  • Interact with customers, take orders and serve drinks and snacks.
  • Assess customers' needs and preferences and make recommendations.
  • Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails.
  • Plan and present bar menu.
  • Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies.
  • Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience.
  • Comply with all food and beverage regulations.
  • Maintain standards of hygiene and cleanliness in all bar areas.
  • Check drink presentations and temperature to make sure of their quality.
  • Ensure that the bar is set up and read for service.
  • Ensure fridge temperature checks are conducted at the beginning and end of each shift.
  • Ensure a minimum loss through breakage, waste, theft and incorrect orders.
  • Assist management in taking bar stock.
  • Check the coffee machine, ice machine, juice machine and fridges to ensure that it is functional.

REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS:


  • Preferably 23 years previous experience as a Barman.
  • Own transport/Reliable transport.
  • Passionate about the hospitality industry.
  • Excellent interpersonal & communication skills, written and verbal (in person and telephonic)
  • Strong customer service orientation with excellent people skills.
  • Ability to maintain a professional working relationship with all departments.
  • Comfortable in dealing with very distinguished clientele.
  • Friendly, helpful and outgoing.
  • Professional manner and attitude.
  • Punctual & selfdisciplined.
