Description

This COFFEE franchise restaurant chain is a well-established full-service and On-The-Move coffee shop brand with over 200 outlets throughout South Africa.

We are in search of a Head of Coffee Excellence / COFFEE SPECIALIST to monitor, audit, train and uplift coffee standards within the group.

THIS REQUIRES:

The identifying of quality concerns and developing action plans for improvement and excellence

Training and development of staff while identifying specific stores, management or franchisee needs

Provision of advanced coffee service / Barista upskilling & training for company trainers and operational support teams

Close collaboration with Master Coffee Roasters and Product Development Teams for ongoing product excellence

Strategic analysis of product quality throughout all stages of the process from storage to service

Collection and review of monthly data, reports etc from external coffee auditors

Coordination and collaboration with all store managers for improved brand consistency and standards across the board

Engage with an motivate Barista Teams for internal and external competitions and brand loyalty and service pride

Contribute toward feedback and assist with product development teams working on current and new ranges

Collection of external research data and information gathering, analysis and presentation

Provide workable solutions for operational issues and recommend plans for EXCO and relevant Operations Teams

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

Relevant tertiary RESTAURANT OPERATIONS / HOTEL MANAGEMENT qualifications with a strong focus as a CERTIFIED BARISTA

At least five years' recent experience within a COFFEE FRANCHISE or COFFEE ROASTERY environment

Industry experience within SENIOR RESTAURANT OPERATIONS

Highly skilled in CUPPING and COFFEE ROASTING

Strong BUSINESS ACUMEN with natural flair for HOSPITALITY OPERATIONS

Experience in the TRAINING and DEVELOPMENT of restaurant personnel

SYSTEMS oriented with a PROBLEM-SOLVING attitude toward franchise operations
