Senior SAP Data Archiving Consultant

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Senior SAP Data Archiving Consultant to lead and manage a data archiving project on the SAP R/3 4.7 landscape. The ideal candidate will have in-depth expertise in SAP data archiving strategies and solutions, along with a strong understanding of data management best practices. As a Senior SAP Data Archiving Consultant, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and compliant archiving of data from SAP.

Key Responsibilities:

1. SAP Data Archiving: Implement the SAP data archiving strategy to optimize database performance and maintain data compliance.
2. Project Leadership: Lead and manage the data archiving project, collaborating with cross-functional teams, business stakeholders, and SAP administrators.
3. Archiving Solution Expertise: Serve as the subject matter expert on SAP archiving solution, including SAP Data Archiving Object configuration and execution and OpenText ADA.
4. Data Analysis: Analyze data objects, data volume, and system performance to identify archiving opportunities and prioritize archiving activities.
5. Custom Development: Collaborate with SAP developers and technical teams to create custom archiving programs and solutions when necessary.
6. Documentation: Maintain thorough documentation of archiving processes, strategies, and project outcomes.
7. User Training: Provide training and support to SAP users and administrators regarding data archiving best practices.
8. Monitoring and Reporting: Set up monitoring mechanisms to track archiving processes and provide regular reports on archiving status and outcomes.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in SAP data archiving with a strong background in SAP archiving solutions, with specific reference to SAP R/3 4.7
• SAP Certified Application Associate - Information Lifecycle Management or equivalent certification is a plus.
• In-depth knowledge of SAP archiving objects, data archiving procedures, and archiving file structures.
• Experience in custom development for SAP data archiving using ABAP and SAP Archive Development Kit (ADK) and OpenText ADA.
• Strong understanding of data retention policies, data privacy, and legal compliance requirements.
