    Job Title: Registered Nurse (AICU Qualified/Experienced)


    A vacancy exists for registered nurses who are qualified and experienced in intensive care units, reporting to the unit manager. These individuals will form part of a multidisciplinary team, ensuring comprehensive quality nursing care is provided to all patients.

    Critical Outputs

    • Effective Cost Management: Minimizing unnecessary stock wastage and equipment maintenance.
    • Quality Patient Care: Providing safe and effective care to patients.
    • Staff Development: Assisting with staff micro-orientation and department-specific training.
    • Daily Care Rounds: Conducting daily rounds and investigating patient complaints.
    • Communication: Providing accurate information to patients and their families.

    Risk Management

    • Infection Control: Monitoring and implementing preventative measures to minimize risk.
    • SHEQ Compliance: Complying with requirements to facilitate infection control.
    • Stakeholder Relationships: Building effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
    • Doctor Preferences: Identifying doctor preferences and implementing them in the working environment.

    Requirements

    • Nursing Qualifications: Relevant degree or diploma in nursing.
    • Specialty Experience: Relevant qualification or experience in intensive care units.
    • Registration: Registered with the South African Nursing Council as a registered nurse.
    • Experience: Two years' experience working as a registered nurse in an ICU in private healthcare, or minimum five years' previous experience as an EN in ICU.
    • Computer Proficiency: Basic computer skills.
