MAIN JOB PURPOSE
Academic Administrators are responsible for the administrative tasks associated with the programmes that are offered by the institution.
Aligned to policies and procedures, the Academic Administrators provide both administrative and functional support to the Programme Coordinator / Snr Lecturer within the Academic Department to ensure quality programme delivery and a quality student administrative service and experience.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCEA minimum requirement of a Matric Certificate
A post school qualification will be advantageous. A minimum 3 years proven experience in academic and programme administration.
Technical knowledge of integrated Quality Assurance Administration in order to comply with accreditation criteria.
Knowledge of CHE accreditation criteria and documentary evidence needed to show compliance.
Organized Administration Systems and Practices that adhere to policies and procedures.
Computer literacy is essential especially in Office365, MS Outlook, MS Word and especially MS Excel.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Key Performance Area:
Student registration with focus on access criteria. Application of CAT (Credit Accumulation Transfer) and RPL (Recognition of Prior Learning)
Student profile management
Distribution of Programme Materials, Textbooks and Resources
Programme Assessment Administration
Tracking Student Success per programme per year
Maintain Student Records, Academic Reports and Certification/Graduation
Administer Student and Lecturer surveys and feedback per programme
Implement General Programme Administrative tasks as delegated by the Admin Manager
