Description
Our client in the Hospitality Industry is looking for a Restaurant Manager/F&B Manager who will be responsible for managing and organizing daily restaurant operations with a goal of controlling costs and providing a world-class experience to customers.
Duties include but are not limited to the following:
Develop outlet objectives and deliverables in line with Fairlawns Boutique Hotel & Spa F&B strategy.
Facilitate the communication and implementation of F&B deliverables for the outlet.
Appraise personnels performance and provide feedback to keep them upbeat and productive.
Monitor service offerings/products and pricing within the restaurant.
Monitor the restaurant booking and confirmation system, and liaise with the Reservations team regarding restaurant availability.
Manage and operate the restaurant POS system
Drive and report on Cost of Sales for the outlet.
Estimate consumption, forecast requirements and maintain inventory in conjunction with the Outlets/Deputy General Manager.
Monitor service standards and staff-guest interaction on the floor to ensure all guests are treated with courtesy and respect at all times.
Other duties as assigned by the Resident Manager.
Hire, train, and supervise restaurant employees
Take ownership of budgets and cost control methods to minimize expenses
Process payroll and maintain all relevant records
Ensure all employees are working within outlined operating standards
Report on financial performance, inventory, and personnel
Create detailed reports on weekly, monthly and annual revenues and expenses
Promote the brand in the local community through word-of-mouth and restaurant events
Recommend ways to reach a broader audience (e.g. discounts and social media ads)
Qualifications:
Matric & a formal qualification
At least 5 years experience in a hotel as a Restaurant Manager
